The room is tidy and the bed is exceptionally comfortable. It has brilliant central location in the centre of Battle opposite the Abbey.

It has amazing, fantastic setting, not far from battlefield, the shop at The Abbey, and Battle Abbey and the 1066 Battle of Hastings site.

The view of the abbey was perfect, as well as central location next to the comfortable back garden, and the castle and lovely quaint village. Also, it was relatively near English Heritage.

The breakfast was hearty with vegan options, and the English bar was a plus. The location turned out to be top and exceptionally nice, right by Battle Abbey, on the high street, battlefield, and centre of attractive village.

I had a very enjoyable stay at a lovely hotel in a historic town. The food was delicious, especially the meat platter. The room was comfortable and quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for exploring the Abbey and battlefield. I highly recommend this hotel.
